Built for long documents
On a 200-page report, typing "15-40, 88, 150-160" takes seconds. Scrolling through 200 thumbnails to click the same pages takes considerably longer and is easier to get wrong.
For short documents where you need to see what you are removing, the thumbnail-based Delete PDF Pages tool is the better fit. Both produce identical results.
Range syntax
Commas separate individual pages, hyphens define spans: 2, 7, 15-20 removes page 2, page 7, and pages 15 through 20 inclusive. Spaces are ignored, so format it however reads clearly to you.
Numbers beyond the end of the document are ignored rather than causing an error. If none of your numbers are valid you get a clear message rather than an unchanged file.
Count before you commit
Page numbers shift as soon as pages are removed, so always work from the numbering in the original document, not from a partially edited version. Removing pages in two passes using numbers from the first pass is the most common way to delete the wrong content.
